| Troubleshooting
1)
Headset produces weak or no sound.
- Make sure the Volume
control is up on the headset (on select versions)
is set to an audible level.
- Try adjusting the volume level
in your computer's control panel, the soundcard mixer program,
or the application you're running.
- Make sure the headset: microphone
and headphone plugs are connected to the correct jacks.
2)
Microphone does not pickup sound when connected to PC.
- Check all connections.
Make sure Mute switch on headset (on select versions)
is set to "mic on" position.
- If you are running Windows
95 or later, check the microphone volume settings
i) Go to Start button, Programs,
Accessories, Multimedia, then Volume Control.
ii) Make sure Microphone volume
is set half way and either Mute is checked or Select is unchecked.
iii) Go to Options, then properties,
select the circle next to Recording, and click OK.
iv) Now check Select or uncheck
Mute for microphone.
v) Go to Start button, Programs,
Accessories, Multimedia, and open Sound Recorder to test microphone.
3)
Microphone does not record sound when connected to MacIntosh.
Check the volume settings in the control panel. If it requires
a "Plain Talk" compatible microphone you may need to
check your plug (you will need a non standard plug).
